So You Want To Help?

Group Work Days (Fall, Spring, Summer)

We need your help! At heart, Memphremagog Trails is a cooperative club. Over the years,

we have welcomed hundreds of volunteers, but day in and day out it is our tireless board members who get the job done. We want you to feel like an owner of the system. Here are some work dates; pick a day (or three!) to which you and come get your hands dirty. Here is a secret: It’s hard to plan and run a work day when you don’t know who to expect. It is very helpful to RSVP for a session ( elliebobp@gmailcom ). Note that some of these days need focused skills and limited numbers; for others we need as many warm bodies as possible.

Most work days run from 9-12 AM and meet at the MT Barn, 3892 Darling Hill Rd.

6/8  Update/Water work on Manning and Brand-X. Trailwork, lots of bodies.

6/16 Start Yurt deck/flooring. Construction (limited group with some carpentry skills – contact Bob to line up your shift(s). These days may go longer than 3 hours.(limited group with some carpentry skills – contact Bob to line up your shift(s). These days may go longer than 3 hours.

7/28-7/30 Accessibility Trail work – We are hardening a short section of trail from the parking area to the bike path to render it suitable for wheelchair access. We could probably use lots of bodies on this one as well.

Summer Mowing

We are looking for people to help mow the trails. Contact Bob and we will work out a schedule for you.

Community Events

Throughout the year we put on a variety of community events. These include group rides, fun runs, ski clinics for young and old alike, open houses, etc. All the extra help is very appreciated!
