A Community Snowshoe Event Not to Be Missed Saturday, February 14, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

MSTF invites the community to join us for an active outdoor gathering in the spirit of Sue Ward.

Sue’s love of nature and commitment to an active life were truly inspiring. She delighted in sharing the local trails and welcoming others along, whether hiking, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing. Being outdoors was her joy, especially when it meant being with family, friends, good food, and good conversation.

All are welcome to take part in this joyful memorial event as we “Take a Hike for Sue.”

Please bring snowshoes and, if you’d like, food to share as we gather afterward in the warmth of the yurt. Dogs are also welcome as Sue’s dog Uler was her constant companion.

What’s better than skiing from the top of the Land Lab, through the quiet moon lit forests, and down to the warm cozy yurt? 2 words….Charcuterie Board!

The entire community is invited for a unique Friday night outdoor activity and meal. Departing the Land Lab parking lot (part of our extensive upper trails system), a guided ski tour will end at the yurt for dinner. Starting at 7pm there will be a potluck style dinner where attendees bring their own charcuterie boards built to share.

The lower trails will be groomed and primed for fat bikers and snowshoers as well. We hope to see you there!
